350 Calorie Indulgences- The Elvis - Peanut Butter, Bacon, & Banana Grilled Sandwich!

The Elvis Peanut Butter, Bacon, and Banana Sandwich
I've been craving something decadent and savory but not high calorie... I wasn't sure if this was possible so I kept opting for salads or any of our other "regular" recipes but they started to get old.

After being left alone with a pantry that was in desperate need of replenishment while my husband was at work I decided to get crafty... I went with my intuition and just kinda added this and that together and gobbled it down. I know it isn't the healthiest sandwich but it helped me please a craving for fats without going overboard! I think it's important to allow yourself to have tasty things without feeling guilty and since this is super low calorie and very filling I don't feel even slightly guilty while enjoying it's ooey-gooeyness!

Afterward I was so impressed with my creation I thought I would share it with the world but first I googled the ingredient list to see if someone else had already done so, come to find out Elvis is the one that is credited with creating the recipe! I now have even more appreciation for that hunk of burning love. I mean he's known for howlin' all the time and starting the sexual craze of gyrating his hips but did you know Elvis had a way with food as well? Now if you are ready to have your taste buds blown and a little bit of sugar shock all for JUST 350 calories then it's time to get in your kitchen so you can whip this baby up!

The Elvis Peanut Butter, Bacon, and Banana Sandwich

Ingredients

2 slices low-calorie bread
 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/2 a ripe banana, sliced
2 slices turkey bacon, cooked until slightly crispy

Directions

Spread the peanut butter on the slices of bread. Place banana slices on top of peanut butter. Place bacon slices on top of the banana, then place the remaining peanut butter bread slice on top.

Place sandwiches on a preheated grill/pan, I think a george foreman grill works well so you don't have to butter the bread and it still toasts it perfectly. When the sandwiches are browned on both sides, slice in half and serve immediately- ENJOY!

Creamy Peanut Butter {I recommend this whipped PB, low in cals & sugars}: 150

  2. Now I've had peanut butter and banana but not the bacon. I'll try anything once though! I imagine it would be difficult to ruin a meal by adding bacon...
