3 Unique & Adorable Gerber Baby Apparel Looks for Your Toddler

Did you know Delainey is now a paid Brand Ambassador for Gerber Childrenswear?! What does that mean exactly? It is just is a fancy way of saying this post is sponsored... but as always, all opinions expressed below are mine alone!

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

Alright y'all... let's be real, before I even had Delainey I always thought baby clothes were adorable... what girl doesn't? I knew I would love being a mama, but I really had NO IDEA how obsessed I would become!

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

While Delainey and I always have a ton of fun doing all types of activities together, I'll be the first to admit - we love playing dress up... and I do mean "we". This girl loves bows, clothes, and shoes, just like her mama. So she's always willing to get her sassy pants on and run around the yard while I take some pictures.

With that said, today we want to show how versatile the coordinating Gerber sets from Walmart are, more specifically we are going to show you how we style our onesies for fall, from bow to toe - in 3 completely different ways.

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

Some may say babies don't have "style", if that's the case - they haven't met this baby! She's full of style and sass and these three Gerber looks show it:

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

We'll start with the simple pretty in pink look. This one is possibly my favorite, it's classic with a twist of fun. For this look, I paired White Pearls & Lace distressed jeans with her pink striped Gerber onesie and a Bloomology bow. We finished the look with a pink rose bib and some grey converse and she was set for a day on the go with daddy.

This look is pretty much an everyday outfit for Miss Delainey and it should be for your babe too. Since the Gerber coordinated baby apparel collection is available at Wal-mart at a super affordable price, every girl should own a handful of these classic onesies.

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

Whether you're currently expecting or dealing with a fun little feisty toddler, like me, the Gerber apparel collection offers just what you are looking for...

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

On that note, the next look we have is this "Sweet Baby Blues" preciousness. Delainey is showing off in her "Sweet" blue onesie. Paired with some polka dot leg warmers and a glitter bow, this look is perfect for hanging around the house and chasing her pup from room to room!

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

Plus, with her baby blue eyes, I can't get enough of this gorgeous blue color... we MUST have more and luckily, there's other items in the coordinating collection that match it!

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

And the last look we're going to share today is her punk rock princess persona. I'm not even joking when I say she loved the way she looked in this outfit. From giving herself a smooch in the mirror to giggling the whole time we played in the backyard, I think this look was D's absolute favorite.

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

We paired a purple Gerber hat, with a fun floral print Gerber Onesie, and a coordinating tu-tu that we just happened to have... but isn't it beyond perfection with this print? We completed the look with a fun bubble necklace, some Gerber socks, and another pair of Converse!

https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&facet=special_offers%3ANew%7C%7Cbrand%3AGerber&max_price=50&min_price=0&page=1&po=1&query=gerber+clothing+-+searchProductResult#searchProductResult

So, now that we've shared three completely different, fashionable, and adorable looks with you, be sure to leave your favorite stylish combination to dress your toddler up in below!

How to Wear Leggings: 5 Fashion Rules for Leggings

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

I used to really love fashion and I always wanted to follow the latest trends... but I'm not going to lie, since I became a mom I've also kind of neglected buying things for myself. I know I'm not the only one that's suddenly started spending on their spawn and cut back on their own stylish efforts, right? Yoga pants are life and leggings are equally as important.

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

So I've made a decision, after a year of concentrating solely on Miss Delainey and her fashion, this mama deserves to be stylish again too. With that said, I'm also not willing to sacrifice what I've learned to love... I mean, I most definitely still want the comfort of yoga pants.

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

And that's where Cuddl Duds comes into the picture... whether I'm wearing my FlexFit or Fleecewear Leggings, I know I can look fabulous while also feeling comfortable enough to chase this tiny little toddler around town.

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

I love that I can pair these leggings with anything and if I'm being frank, both pairs are the SOFTEST leggings I have ever owned. Like I've heard of "buttery soft" fabric before but these leggings are even softer.

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

With that said, there's a certain way that leggings should be worn. We've all seen those trainwreck outfits on others that make us question whether this garment of clothing should even be "allowed" in public... but here's the thing - leggings are easy to wear and pair items with! So today, I'm here today to discuss a few "fashion do's and don'ts" regarding leggings:

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

1. Let's start with the obvious, always cover your behind and your front butt when wearing leggings.

When it comes to tops long enough to wear with leggings, I'm seriously so in love with Cuddl Duds Softwear Stretch Cowl-Neck Tunics!  I'm not even joking when I say my cowl neck top from Cuddl Duds is a new staple item in my wardrobe.

It's the perfect pairing for both pairs of leggings and it's so versatile I feel like I can dress it up with a nice pair of slacks or down with some leggings and stay cozy all day long. I'm a huge fan and recommend everyone have one of these tunic tops to pair with their leggings... and I'm hoping to add more colors to my collection soon!

2. Make sure you find the right fit & the right length - Leggings should fit comfortably at the waist and NOT squeeze your middle. Length wise leggings should fit at the ankle, any higher will make you look short and any longer will obviously be uncomfortable and look awkward with footwear.

3. Speaking of footwear - choose the right pairing! Don't wear your yard work shoes with your leggings, choose shoes wisely. I'm not even going to deny the fact that I wear flip flops with everything... but honestly, they aren't the best pairing with leggings! I love pairing mine with boots or simple flats. But you could also pair Cuddl Duds with some simple heels too.

4. Mix it up - While I'm guilty of finding something I like and wearing it religiously, that's out of habit... not style. So this is more of a "do as I say, not as I do" piece of advice. Be sure to mix up your look - Try leggings and a button down one day, another day rock a duster and your Cuddl Duds Softwear Stretch Cowl-Neck Tunic! Variety is the spice of life after all, so don't stick with the same style!

5. Consider the occasion - Last but certainly not least, know where to wear your leggings. Job interviews, weddings, or any occasion that calls for a more reserved look is the WRONG place to wear your leggings. While they are comfortable, fashionable, and fun, they aren't business wear so be sure to dress up when needed...*(Not to contradict myself, but if you think you have the perfect business-casual outfit that involves leggings, remember there are always exceptions to the rules)!

https://ooh.li/44ea23d

Now that we've chatted about how to wear these leggings, I'm going to pretty much DEMAND you check out Cuddl Duds at Macy's... you can thank me for bringing your attention to this life-changingly soft line of clothing later!

Stitch Fix is a New Mama's Best Friend!

Thanks for being a part of today's discussion, while this isn't exactly a sponsored post, there are affiliate links below... Thanks for helping support my family and my blog!
That's the thing I like most about Stitch Fix, I find things I never would buy myself, like kimonos, and then I also end up with things so incredibly similar to what I have (and love) already that it's like my stylist just gets me. Are you ready to find a stylist that just gets you? Are you a fellow mama that needs a fashion pick-me-up at your doorstep? Check out Stitch Fix... I promise you won't be disappointed!

Fashion isn't really in my vocabulary lately... neither is shopping. I thought I'd be devastated when this day came... but honestly, I'm so in love with Delainey that anything outside of Delainey's world isn't really part of my world right now. So one day, we'll go shopping together and embrace the fashion world as a team, but for now I wear printed t-shirts and yoga pants more often than not... and well, let's be frank, I'm lucky to fit a shower in some days.

While I love how much she loves me and taking care of her is literally my favorite thing in the world, I'll admit I was just a little excited when I saw fashion arrive at my doorstep in the form of my Stitch Fix box! The goodies inside my box this month did not disappoint, I think I may even request this stylist again... I also need to request a bigger pocketbook so I can keep everything in every fix they send!

With that said, We'll start with the one thing I loved from the get-go... the kimono! This colorful, floral number is definitely a must have for every mamas wardrobe. I love the flowyness and worn with a nursing tank and a comfy pair of pants, I imagine I'll be wearing this beauty all summer long and into fall! I'm seriously gaga over it.

Next on my list of favorites were the plum pants. There's just something about pants made by Stitch Fix. They have this "Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants" thing to them, they literally fit me so well... and form to my body. I'm obsessed... and I'm pretty sure I've said this about every single other pair of pants I've been sent my SF. Maybe one time I'll ask for all pants?! That's how serious I am about the comfort of these beauties. What's keeping me from keeping the pants, you may ask? I already own a pair similar in a smaller size and I'm aiming to get back into that size SOON.

Another item I really liked was the grey open back sweater, but I recently bought something like this from Crown and Ivy AND it's Florida so long sleeves just aren't practical for me right now. Although, this is absolutely one of my favorite things a stylist has ever sent... so that's something! I love the way it drapes, the open back showing the gorgeous fabric underneath, the soft material... it's perfect, just not for me - right now.

One item I liked but I thought could've been a little more flattering on someone else was the navy striped long sleeve top. Maybe I'm just being harsh on myself, but the stripes just aren't for me. The embellished elbows are probably my favorite part of the top... but again, I can't look past the stripes on this mama belly.

And the last item in my fix, really was adorable... but again, it just didn't look good on me! The striped shirt with fun patterned sleeves could be the perfect addition to another mama's wardrobe but it just looks unflattering on me.

That's the thing I like most about Stitch Fix, I find things I never would buy myself, like kimonos, and then I also end up with things so incredibly similar to what I have (and love) already that it's like my stylist just gets me. With that said, everything in this box was fabulous... just not all of it was meant to be added to my wardrobe at this time! 10 Hot Fashion Looks to Make You Look Great in the Cold

Look good during the winter months with these tips!

10 Hot Fashion Looks to Make You Look Great in the Cold

Winter’s wrath may not have visited your region yet, so there’s still time to get ready for the worst of this season’s weather. When it starts to feel like the arctic and the snow arrives, you’ve got to be ready to navigate the outside without freezing. Bundling up for this kind of weather doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your sense of fashion either. Here are 10 cool looks for the girl on the go in a winter wonderland.

1. Brightly Colored Pea Coat

Choosing the right winter coat takes a lot of considerations as well as some thought about what looks best on your figure. One winter coat fashion that looks great on any body type is the pea coat. Pea coats help you retain the shape of your figure because of their smart tailoring. Choose a brightly colored pea coat to make a sharp contrast against the winter white shade of the snow outside.

Look good during the winter months with these tips!

2. Soft Cable Knit Sweater

Underneath of your coat, it’s essential to dress in layers so you stay warm. Cable knit sweaters are a great choice for this time of year. An oversized sweater with a smart knitted pattern could be the perfect style to keep you warm under your coat this winter.

3. Warm Infinity Scarf

While your coat and sweater will keep your torso and arms nice and cozy, they may leave your neck exposed to the elements. To cover this vulnerable area, you’ll need a scarf to pick up the slack. Choose a warm infinity scarf to get the most coverage all around the circumference of your neck. You get a variety of options for your own personal style with this type of scarf.

4. Sleek Lined Leggings

When it’s freezing outside, your legs need maximum warm coverage to keep them protected from the wind and the precipitation. Your best option is something that fits snugly against your skin. Sleek leggings lined with fleece or another material can help keep the cold away while looking great.

Look good during the winter months with these tips!

5. Thick Wool Socks

Socks are another fashion item that matter during the coldest months of the year. Choosing socks that aren’t thick enough could mean a pair of frozen feet and toes. Ideally, you want a thick pair of wool socks that are able to withstand the frigid temperatures and give your toes an extra layer of warmth.

6. Cozy Winter Beanie

When you were little, your mother probably refused to let you out of the house without a hat during the winter. Follow her advice now, and keep your head protected and prevent heat loss with a cute winter beanie to wear over your stylish coif.

7. Tall Waterproof Boots

Navigating slippery walkways and icy sidewalks can be tricky when you need to get to school or work fast. Wearing snow boots all day long at the office isn’t really practical. Instead, try a protective type of footwear, like thigh-high boots, that help keep the snow and water off of your feet while also giving you some style. Online store Tobi offers a selection of shoes and boots that are perfect for the colder months.

8. Light Turtleneck Layer

Underneath of your clothes, you should also consider adding an additional thin layer. A light turtleneck top could be the perfect way to keep you from feeling frozen this winter. This way, you also get a little extra protection for your neck.

9. Fuzzy Fingerless Gloves

Your hands need some coverage as well when it’s frigid outside. You’ve also got to think about something that will make your daily routine more manageable. Fingerless gloves are a great option to keep your hands warm and your fingers free for smartphone access.

10. Chic Tinted Sunglasses

When you’re just about ready, there’s one more thing to add to your ensemble to make the most impact as you trek through the snow, a pair of chic sunglasses. Not only will you look cool and comfortable, but your sunglasses will offer the best protection against the reflected sunlight that comes with a fresh blanket of snow.
If your area is expecting a few inches or feet of snow, get ready with these great fashion pieces that keep your body warm and your style cool. Maintain your style no matter what the temperature is outside with these iconic pieces.

4 Reasons You Should Add Crown & Ivy to Your Wardrobe

I admit I'm a shopaholic, there's no denying that fact... so today I need to share I'm absolutely head-over-heels with some new pieces I added to my wardrobe. I mean, when you find jeans you just LOVE and tops that are the perfect mixture of cute and cozy, that's when everyone you know needs to hear about it, am I right? If you agree... get ready to fall in love with Crown & Ivy as well! Here's 4 reasons you should add this amazing brand and their cute clothes to your wardrobe today!

https://ooh.li/da21e88

https://ooh.li/da21e88

1. Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants style jeans - That's right, their jeans are unbelievably comfortable and have just enough stretch that my new mama bod looks great in them still. They offer just enough structure that I don't feel like I'm rocking jeggings but they are comfortable enough that I don't even notice I'm wearing pants, the perfect combination for a cozy winter day - in my opinion!

https://ooh.li/da21e88

2. Patterns and Design - From open flare backs with fun dancing elephants, like my new top, to playful reindeer on a sweater, Crown & Ivy has a little bit of everything and it's all so cute. I walked around the Crown & Ivy section of Belk and went on a bit of a shopping spree this past week. After having a baby I need some new winter items and fell in love with everything C&I had out on the shelves! Whether you want to add a cute new vest or a funky new scarf, Crown & Ivy likely has the perfect new quirky addition you are looking for and that's why I love this brand so much!

https://ooh.li/da21e88

3. Sold at Belk - When I go shopping, I like to go where I'm treated well and the service is attentive and that's exactly what happens every time I step into a Belk. I love that I was able to find the items I needed and the lady that helped check me out was super helpful and friendly and even made sure to apply hand sanitizer before handing me my receipt, she said she was doing it "just in case" but wanted to make sure"to keep my baby healthy" by not exposing her to any extra germs. It may not seem like a major detail, but customer service like that matters BIG TIME to me. I like that at Belk I feel like the employees actually care about the customers, it says a lot about the company!

https://ooh.li/da21e88

4. Dressy or Casual -  Crown & Ivy has you covered! This brand offers a little bit of everything, as I mentioned. I loved being able to grab something a bit more sophisticated and sassy like the open back sweater and then I was able to grab a fun and funky, cozy long sleeve tee with a giant pineapple on the back! It's this playful nature to the Crown & Ivy line that keeps drawing me in, yet I'm still able to dress like an adult.

https://ooh.li/da21e88

With all of that said, I think it's easy to see why I'm so in love with the Crown & Ivy line at Belk. Interested in seeing all the other adorableness in the winter 2016 collection? Click here and tell me your favorite item from the line, I'd love to hear all about it... or take a second and stop in to your local Belk sometime soon!

5 Fall Fashion Tips for You + a $$$ saving coupon!

Fashion tips for this fall and the secret to finding designer pieces for bargain prices (AND a coupon)! #SecondHandFirst

I've always been one that's excited to find a bargain, whether I'm hunting down the coolest styles on the racks at a local thrift store or scouring the web for a new trendy piece of clothing. So when I heard about ThredUp and the awesome deals they offer on designer items, I was just a little excited... and by just a little, I mean like incredibly, super excited!

Fashion tips for this fall and the secret to finding designer pieces for bargain prices (AND a coupon)! #SecondHandFirst

Instead of just adding a few items to my cart as I perused the app, I added nearly everything I saw. With featured picks and a variety of galleries, I spent hours adding oodles of items into my cart, if you've ever used the app - you know what I mean.

Fashion tips for this fall and the secret to finding designer pieces for bargain prices (AND a coupon)! #SecondHandFirst

After I decided I only really need to buy a handful of items, it was time to check out. Instead of paying a jillion dollars for my new designer duds, I ended up paying nearly nothing! While the items in my cart totaled to $93.96, their actual worth was $370 if I had went in stores and made these purchases, and get this - with this coupon (LNB15) I saved enough to make my purchase for only $56! Enough about the money, let's get to the real important stuff - the fashion tips and my new additions to my wardrobe!

1. This fall, keep things deep and dark with pops of color. Blacks, browns, and deep shades of navy are what you'll find me in this fall... but only with pops of color or other deep colors added into the mix! Take this adorable black blouse from Ted Baker for example. Paired with a black pair of leggings and a super fun pair of shoes, this is the perfect look this fall! Add a flowy cardigan for a warmer addition to the look and you're set!

2. The next item is also part of the deep color scheme, but it's addressing a different tip - don't be intimidated by any style! While fitted styles after having a baby sound like they may not look amazing, I have to brag about this gorgeous navy lace skirt from Ambiance Apparel. It's the cutest new addition to my closet, paired with a comfy blazer or a chambray shirt and a pair of boots - this is a piece I'll be rocking all through out the chillier weather! For now, I love this look with heels...

3. Speaking of boots, my next tip is to not follow just one "style trend", take the time to find your own way in the fashion world - like this outfit for example: This casual dress from Express has an intricate detail and would typically be paired with a fancy pair of heels to compliment the elegance, I made it my own by adding a pair of riding boots and I love the way it looks! It's the perfect mixture of bohemian and classic, two of my favorites, with my own little twist.

4. While having your own style is great, the tip above leads me to this tip - stay true to the classics if nothing else works. Like this black blouse, it's a great classic piece that will remain timeless and is a great asset to any closet.

5. My final tip is never pay full price, for any item in your closet! We all love designer items, but you can find amazing deals on ThredUp for all the same items at prices that are unheard of! Get 15% off your order if you've used ThredUp before with the code "LNB15" OR if you've never shopped ThredUp before use the code YHJ75 for $30 off $75! Now click here and start shopping!

Fall Stitch Fix: Learning to Love My Fuller Figure with This Fix!

After having a baby, trying on clothes can be a nightmare... Luckily, Stitch Fix is a dream come true! Check out my most recent fix and find out how you can have a stylist help you find the perfect additions to your wardrobe! #StitchFix

After having a baby, I hoped to have my pre-baby body back in days... I would have even been okay with seeing my weight jump back to a normal number within weeks. But alas, I'm still carrying around a couple of extra pounds and I'm totally rocking a mama pooch at this point. While I'm not exactly satisfied with my shape at this moment, I'm learning to find confidence in my mom-bod... just like the "dad-bod" was fully embraced by society, I'm trying to do the same for myself.

One of the best ways I've found to embrace my curvier figure is continuing my Stitch Fix subscription post-natal. The maternity fixes they sent were amazing and I loved my box when I was thinner, but having a stylist help me style my fuller-figured self this month was life changing and so incredibly flattering.

On that note, we'll start with the most flattering items in my fix. I fell in love with this fun and funky striped, polka dot, and floral-pocketed top and the leather and trimmed leggings. Both items are so incredibly adorable and the perfect additions to my wardrobe. The top is the perfect mixture of all things trendy and a great addition to my statement pieces and the bottoms are classic with a twist, my personal favorite way to rock a classic look!

The next item in the box that I am debating on keeping is the green tunic top. It's a great classic piece, but other than the color - I'm not so sure I "just love" it! I will say it's super soft and a great casual looking item. What do you think of it... Should I keep it?

Another item from my fix I'm seriously considering adding to my wardrobe is the grey asymmetrical jacket. It's definitely another fun and funky piece but I think maybe it isn't the most flattering looking for my post-baby body. The pockets are a HUGE bonus in my book but the cut of the jacket makes me feel like I'm larger than I am.

The last item in my fix, that I thought I would love but then didn't just go gaga over once it was on was the adorable patterned sweatshirt. I love, love, love this look but the way it fit my curves left something to be desired. It's so incredibly soft and just the right amount of cute so I may have to buy it in a size up or keep it just so I can plan on rocking it once I'm a little closer to my goal.

So tell me,what would you keep in this fix and what needs to go back? I love hearing your opinions and can't wait to see what you say in the comments below!
